Arauco Wind Farm (‘PEA’)

PEA is located on provincial route No. 9, 90 km to the north from the City of La Rioja, Province of La Rioja. The wind farm comprises 38 G-114 Siemens Gamesa wind turbines, each with a 2.625 MW power capacity and an 80-meter hub height, with an approximate 43% load factor of P50. It has an installed capacity of 100 MW, representing 0.2% of Argentina’s installed capacity. Formerly, it was called Arauco II Wind Farm stage 1 and 2, it was commissioned for service in March 2020 and sells its energy to CAMMESA (Argentine Wholesale Electricity Market Clearing Company) under the RenovAr program.
