Pampa and Gender Equality

Pampa Energía is the only Argentine company included in the 2022 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index

Buenos Aires, January 26, 2022. Pampa Energía S.A. (‘Pampa’ or the ‘Company’; NYSE: PAM; ByMA: PAMP) informs that for the fourth consecutive year, Pampa has been included as one of the 418 companies from 11 different sectors in the 2022 Gender-Equality Index (GEI), sponsored by Bloomberg, the world’s largest provider of financial information. Moreover, Pampa Energía is the only Argentine company recognized in the GEI index and 29 other Latin American companies.

This Index recognizes the world’s most committed to gender equality companies through their policies and the transparency in disclosing their programs and data related to the matter.

In 2019, the Index’s first edition was composed of 230 companies, in 2020, the number amounted to 325 global companies, and in 2021 amounted to 380 companies. In this new edition, the Index expanded to 418 companies from 45 countries and regions.

‘The Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index recognizes companies that are maintaining a strong focus on providing an inclusive work environment that supports the evolving needs of employees and retains the competitive strengths gained through gender diversity, which is increasingly critical in this challenging business environment’, said Mr. Peter T. Grauer, the Chairman of Bloomberg.

The GEI brings transparency to gender-related practices and policies at publicly traded companies, which increases the scope of ESG data available to investors. The GEI’s scoring methodology allows investors to assess the company’s performance and compare companies from the same sector.
