Pampa and Gender Equality

Pampa Energía is the only Argentine company included in the 2021 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index

Buenos Aires, January 27, 2021. Pampa Energía S.A. (‘Pampa’ or the ‘Company’; NYSE: PAM; ByMA: PAMP) informs that for the third consecutive year, Pampa has been included as one of the 380 companies from 11 different sectors in the 2021 Gender-Equality Index (GEI), sponsored by Bloomberg, the world’s largest provider of financial information. Moreover, Pampa Energía is the only Argentine company recognized in the GEI index and 14 other Latin American companies.

This Index recognizes the world’s most committed to gender equality companies through their policies and the transparency in disclosing their programs and data related to the matter.

Mr. Marcelo Mindlin, the President of Pampa Energía, stated: ‘We are proud to receive this recognition for the third consecutive year. At Pampa, we encourage an inclusive culture and keep working in this regard to improve ourselves day by day’.

In 2019, the Index’s first edition was composed of 230 companies, while in 2020, the number amounted to 325 global companies. In this new edition, the Index expanded to 380 companies from 44 countries and regions.

‘The companies included in the 2021 GEI Index are increasing the environmental, social and governance (ESG) coverage universe, to include gender-related information, that is today demanded by the investors’, said Mr. Peter T. Grauer, the Chairman of Bloomberg. ‘The commitment to disclosure contributes to the theme of inclusion and promotes transparency in financial markets.’

The GEI brings transparency to gender-related practices and policies at publicly traded companies, which increases the scope of ESG data available to investors. The GEI’s scoring methodology allows investors to assess the company’s performance and compare companies from the same sector.
