Commercial commissioning of the closing to CC at CTEB

Buenos Aires, February 22, 2023. Pampa Energía S.A. (‘Pampa’ or the ‘Company’; NYSE: PAM; ByMA: PAMP) informs that the Wholesale Electricity Market Clearing Company (Compañía Administradora del Mercado Mayorista Eléctrico S.A. – ‘CAMMESA’), in its capacity as the Agency in Charge of Dispatch (Organismo Encargado del Despacho) of the Wholesale Electricity Market, granted the commercial commissioning to the steam turbine unit for the closing to Combined Cycle (‘CC’) at Ensenada Barragán Thermal Power Plant (‘CTEB’) as of today’s 12 am, for a net additional capacity of up to roughly 260 MW firing natural gas. Besides, after the closing of the cycle, CTEB’s total installed capacity amounts to roughly 827 MW.

The said commercial commissioning sets the beginning of commercial operations of CTEB’s CC, a project in which CT Barragán S.A. (‘CTBSA’), co-controlled by Pampa and YPF S.A., invested more than US$250 million. It represents a significant contribution not only to the nationwide energy matrix through the addition of power capacity in a key area, but also to the environment since the closing of the cycle will contribute to consolidate a cleaner and more efficient power grid, avoiding relevant additional emissions.

Moreover, the commercial commissioning of the closing of the cycle complied with the resolutive condition of the guarantees granted by CTBSA’s co-controlling shareholders, Pampa and YPF S.A., becoming them the guarantors and principal payers for the bondholders, guaranteeing the timely and proper payment of any amount owed, including the service of all the principal and interests (the ‘Guarantees’). In this sense, it is informed that the Guarantees, as of the date, have been terminated, ending all effectiveness and validity.
