Expiration of concession contracts and beginning of the transition period at HIDISA
Buenos Aires, October 22, 2024. Pampa Energía S.A. (‘Pampa’ or the ‘Company’; NYSE: PAM; ByMA: PAMP) announces that national and provincial authorities have established transition periods for the concessions of Diamante Hydro Power Plant (“HIDISA”), in which Pampa holds 61% of the share capital.
HIDISA holds two concessions: one granted by the Province of Mendoza for the use of assets and water resources, and another by the National Government for power generation. Both concessions expired on October 19, 2024.
In this sense, on October 18, 2024, the Government of the Province of Mendoza issued Decree No. 2,096, that established a 12-month transition period following the expiration of the hydroelectric concession for the use of the Diamante River waters and other provincial assets, appointing the Undersecretary of Energy and Mining as observer. Additionally, the National Secretariat of Energy and Mining Coordination, through Res. No. 1/24, set a transition period until June 1, 2025, during which HIDISA will continue operating the hydroelectric complex under the supervision of the Undersecretariat of Electric Energy.
